Village on the Green residents, team members, local dignitaries, and Lifespace home office leaders celebrated the ground breaking on a $56 million expansion and redevelopment project. The project includes 20 new residential living villas and a new health and wellness center. The community already carries a 5-Star Health Center rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), as well as the Governor’s Gold Seal which recognizes senior living communities that demonstrate excellence for quality over a sustained period. Less than 4% of long-term care providers in Florida achieve a Gold Seal.
The expansion portion of the project will add 36 assisted living apartments, 18 memory care suites and 48 skilled nursing care suites. Renovations to the common areas at Village on the Green will feature a modern design with attractive views of the grounds. The clubhouse enhancements include new and updated dining venues, adding one formal and one casual dining restaurant.
Longwood Mayor Matt Morgan attended the groundbreaking and said the area is in critical need of exceptional senior living options like this.
